We spent the last week of summer camping at
Greenacres in Somerset, doing out best to enjoy a very damp summer. The holiday was filled with really great days, one of these was the day we spent in Wells, I absolutely love Wells, if I was to come into some money tomorrow I would have a big fight with myself over whether to move to Wells or Oban (or both!) both places I fell in love with as soon as I arrived, I think it's the light, like with St Ives.
When we got there it became apparent that something was going on and not just that a Waitrose was being built! As we approached we began to notice swans, swans in the police station, in shops and in churches. Amazing swans.
We did out best to get Lauren with as many as we could and I've not labelled them as I can't remember the names of them all - but you can learn about them all here http://www.swansofwells. I hope you like them as much as we did, I hope more cities do this it was so good, I think they had a similar thing with gorillas in Bristol when we went one and I remember a story about cows somewhere too.
I've popped in some other photos of Wells too, so you can see how lovely it was. If you click on the photos you can get a better look.
