Happy New Year

Hello, Happy New Year. I've been away from the blog for over a month now, but I've not been having a rest or hiding away. The Bungalow has been very busy throughout December. Lots of visitors - our little pad was host to 9 sleepers on one evening. It's seen it's fair share of entertaining over the festive period - my parents visited from their Galician home (they are mid air homeward bound as I type) for a month. My brother and his 3 children made a flying visit from Lyme Regis. My in-laws came over from Ravenshead for Boxing Day and our good friends from Langley Mill saw in the new year with us as usual. We've been out and about, Lauren turned 7, we had a weekend at Center Parcs with most of the family, another meal at the White Lion, my husband and I had a rare night out with friends at Ve Raj, we've had a walk at Attenborough Nature Reserve, house plans have been submitted, the car broke and a new purchase has been considered, we had a fun day in Shirebrook with our friends.
I wanted to mention Polly the Cat too, now well in her 19th year, she had a little stroke just before Christmas, but I'm please to say that although she is still quite doddery she has made a full recovery and a trotting about, doing super quick garden patrols and demanding tummy tickles.
Looking forward to the new year and what it will bring, am already researching holiday destinations and considering theatre outings and meal invitations so that I will have plenty to write about.
All I've got to do now is catch up, but for now I just wanted to say a quick hello and wish you all well for 2012.
