Well thanks Jamie the "costolette di maiale con salvia" went down a treat. Bit more complicated than I thought to prepare, but given the mid preparation trauma with the cat then probably a good job. Looks like a trip to the vet tomorrow, for the cat not the costolette. The cat may have an infection but she's not beyond chasing a moth at the stately age of 16. Anyway must go have left husband asleep on the settee and 3 year old is having a bad dream. Asparagus soup tomorrow....
